  • Republic of Korea is Poland's important trade partner in Asia. The volume of bilateral trade in 2016 reached 3,9 bln USD, which was 3,8% improvement in comparison to 2015. Since 2010 slight but systematic decrease in the trade deficit on Polish side has been observed.

     

    Korea is also a significant investor in Poland. The cumulated value of the Korean FDI in Poland as of the end of 2016 totalled, according to Narodowy Bank Polski (Polish Central Bank) 700 mln USD.

     

    Poland and Korea carry out regular bilateral economic consultations on the level of deputy minister responsible for economy. In May 2010 office of Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) was opened in Warsaw. In December 2017 Trade and Investment Promotion Section in Seoul was closed. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency is planning to open in Seoul its Foreign Trade Office.
