  • WHERE SHOULD I APPLY?

     

    1. If you intend to visit only one Schengen country, apply at the Embassy or Consulate of that particular country. You apply at the Embassy or Consulate in whose jurisdiction you are a resident.

     

    2. If you intend to visit several Schengen countries, apply for a visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the country which is your main destination.

     

    3. If you intend to visit several Schengen countries but do not have a main destination, apply for a visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the country which is your first point of entry.

     

    You should apply in person at the Embassy in whose jurisdiction you reside.

    WHEN SHOULD I APPLY?

     

    Applications shall be lodged no more than three months before the start of the intended visit. You need to schedule an appointment through the website: www.e-konsulat.gov.pl and complete your application online, then print it out, fill in and sign.

     

    WHAT SHOULD I SUBMIT?

     

    1. A correctly filled and signed visa application form printed from the website: www.e-konsulat.gov.pl. Minors shall submit an application form signed by a person exercising permanent or temporary parental authority or legal guardianship.

    2. Travel document (passport) valid at least 3 months after the intended date of departure from Member States, with at least 2 blank pages remaining for use and issued within the previous 10 years.

    3. One recent passport sized photograph (3.5 x 4.5 cm) with white background.

    4. Allow the collection of the fingerprints where applicable.

    5. Pay the visa fee in Korean currency – 78 280 KRW. Visa fee rules according to article 16 of Regulation (EC) no. 810/2009 (Visa Code) are applied. Only Cash (Card/Check is not permitted).

    6. Supporting documents (full list to be downloaded here).

    7. Travel medical insurance to cover any expenses which arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention and/or emergency hospital treatment, death during stay on the territory of the Member States. The minimum coverage is 30.000 EUR.

    8. Insurance payment confirmation  (receipt/ bank transfer confirmation slip, etc.).

     

    REMARKS

     

    Photos have to meet the following requirements:

    1. Dimensions - 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm

    2. Color, sharp, made on high quality paper against a plain white background.

    3. Must be taken within last 6 months to enable easy identification of an applicant.

    4. Applicant's face must cover 70-80% of the photograph.

    5. Applicant must face camera directly, looking ahead with open eyes, natural face expression and closed mouth.

    6. Applicant cannot wear a hat or any other head covering.

    7. Applicant's hair must not cover any part of the face.

    In case an applicant wears glasses:

        o The glasses cannot be sunglasses or dimmed glasses.

        o The frames cannot cover any part of his/her eyes.

        o The glasses cannot produce any light reflexes.

     

    In case an applicant wears head covering required by his/her religion:

        o The covering cannot cover any part of face.

        o The photo must show the full head and the upper part of the neck, the right and left side of the face must be clearly visible.

     

    The Consul can always request more documents.

     

    The applicant is hereby informed that submitting the before mentioned documents does not guarantee automatic issuance of the visa.

     

    Please note that holders of Schengen visa are still subject to immigration control upon first entry into a Schengen country and are therefore not guaranteed automatic entry even when they hold a valid Schengen visa.

     

    The visa processing time will take approximately 10 working days. The procedure may be extended.

     

    For holders of the passports of: Afghanistan, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Mauretania, Morocco, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria,  Oman, Pakistan, Palestinians,  Philippines, Qatar, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia,  Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen and Stateless persons the processing time takes about 2-4 weeks and the procedure may be extended.

     

    The visa application fee is non-refundable, whether your visa is actually issued or not.
